Please Visit our New Class Website

The Class of 1981 reunion website has done it’s job — kept you informed about the 41st reunion that was just recently held. A lot of good memories were made.

This site will therefore be going into “hibernation” until it is needed again, but at the same time, we’d like to encourage you to please visit and register your profile at the new, permanent website for the Southwest Class of 1981. This site will allow you to connect with any or all of your classmates, keep up to date on news and activities, and of course, whatever planning there is for the next reunion (or “pop-up” event the class will be invited to.

Please visit the new site at https://southwest81.com and confirm your contact information, then complete a profile to share some information about yourself. Help us stay connected with you, and the rest of your classmates from today forward..!

That’s a Wrap

And that puts a close on the 2022 Classes of 1980 and 1981 reunion. Thank you everyone who attended, including those who traveled from far away lands (Alabama, Idaho, Alaska, Australia and others), and everyone who contributed to a great, memorable experience.

Stand by in the coming days for photo galleries, and maybe a story or two, or a video snippet as well.

Thank you all..!

SWHS Reunion Weekend is Upon Us!

It’s here..! It’s time to gather with your friends made 40, 50 or even more years ago. It’s a time to reconnect, connect new and share memories and stories that you have collected — and lived — all these years.

Happy Hour at Bunny’s will be this Friday (July 22nd) from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Saint Louis Park.

The full Reunion, combined with the Class of 1980, will be held Friday evening at the Embassy Suites in Bloomington beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Don’t have reunion tickets, but decided you’d like to attend? Good news! Tickets can be purchased at the door for $75 per person. Please note that only cash or checks will be accepted — we are unable to take credit cards.

Join your lifelong friends for a great evening and a time to make new memories and share old ones.

See you this weekend! Purple Power!

Online Ticket Sales End on Sunday, July 10

If you’ve been on the fence about pre-purchasing your tickets for the combined Southwest Class of ’80/’81 Reunion, this coming Sunday (July 10, 2022) is your last opportunity to purchase by credit or debit card.

While online presales will end, you can still purchase tickets at the door. However, only cash or checks will be accepted at the door – no credit or debit cards.

Why pre-purchase? Other than knowing it’s taken care of, it really helps the reunion committee make sure that the appropriate amount of food (and beer :-)) is made available, and it greatly eases the event planning.

If you have been thinking about attending, or know someone who should attend, please consider making your reservations today! It will be great to share some time among old friends!

Ticket Prices Increase after June 15

If you’ve been on the fence about attending, you have until the end of the day on June 15th to save some real $$ on your tickets. Ticket prices will increase to $75 at midnight on June 15. So, save yourself $15 per ticket by picking up your tickets today!

Why register? First, to save yourself some money. But this also helps the food committee plan the amount of food needed. Registering helps everyone have the best time together.

The Three Classmate Challenge!

We have a challenge for you. Can you find and encourage three other classmates from the Class of ’80 or the Class of ’81 to sign up and attend the Southwest High School reunion on July 23rd?

Email us at info@sw81reunion.com with the names of three (or more) classmates that you have contacted about the reunion. If the classmates on your list sign up, we will recognize your efforts at the reunion.

To see a list of classmates that we’re looking to find, you can view the “list of the missing” here:

Your help is needed to make sure as many classmates as possible know about the combined reunion and have the opportunity to attend.
